‘Bank of Baroda Rashtrabhasha Samman’ Award to promote translations

Bank of Baroda and Teamwork Arts are presenting a national award named ‘Bank of Baroda Rashtrabhasha Samman’ to encourage translation of novels published in various Indian languages in Hindi. The bank has decided to establish a special national award to bring literature and language on one platform and to highlight the contribution of translators in the field of the Hindi language. Under this award, the best work and the other 5 shortlisted works among the various novels translated from Indian languages in Hindi and published in India will be awarded a trophy and plaque along with the winning amounts: Award-winning work (Novel): ? 21.00 lakh (? twenty one lakh) to the original author; ?15.00 Lakh (? Fifteen Lakh) to Hindi translator; and other 5 best shortlisted works:? 03.00 lakh (? three lakh) to the original author and ? 02.00 Lakh (? Two Lakh) to Hindi translator.
