The founder of the children’s book publishing company Usborne, Peter Usborne, passed away at the age of 85. He died peacefully in the company of his family. Usborne established his publishing company in 1973 and was honored with a CBE for his contributions to literature by King Charles at Windsor Castle last month. Prior to his work in children’s books, Usborne co-founded the satirical magazine Private Eye in 1961, which focused on current affairs. The industry mourns this loss!
