Kitaab Ghar@Kashmere Gate Metro Station

Sahitya Akademi recently opened its first Metro Book Shop at Kashmere Gate Metro Station (Concourse area). It was inaugurated by Dr Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari, president, Sahitya Akademi in presence of dignitaries and officials from Delhi Metro and Sahitya Akademi. Also present were authors, book lovers and students.

Minutes after it was inaugurated, there was huge rush of book buyers seen at the cash counter, everybody was amazed and happy buying books of their choices.

Expressing his gratitude on behalf of Sahitya Akademi, K Sreenivasa Rao, secretary, Sahitya Akademi, said, “We are thankful to DMRC for their support. Soon, we will be arranging promotional activities jointly in consultation with the DMRC, like holding of reading sessions, book release functions and author’s meet etc.”
