PRISM steps into Silver Jubilee year

Founded in 1991, Prism Books Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, has carved a niche for itself in the publishing industry.

Over the last two and half decades, Prism has emerged as a major publisher and distributor in the South. Its publishing activity spans across many specialties from the Pre-School to K-12 and books for professional courses like engineering, medicine, pharmacy, reference monographs etc. Special emphasis is given to publishing in regional languages- original works of accredited authors to translations from one language to the other. Among its authors are Jnanpith awardees, accredited scientists, renowned authors and editors, besides upcoming authors. Prism has to its credits several awards for excellence and are Gourmand award winners.

Prism’s new imprint DARPAN is a mirror to the current day quality writing by authors from across India and elsewhere. The newest achievement is obtaining the Trade Mark for its most popular series GROWING UP WITH. Growing Up with series in Mathematics and Science are the most sought after school text books for CBSE and State Board syllabi across South India.

Prism looks forward to providing socially relevant, quality literature at affordable cost, apart from providing the best of error free, student friendly text books.

Some of their newly launched books include The Vanished Raj – A memoir of Princely India by Navaratna Rama Rao, rendered into English by Dr N Rajaram and N Rajeshwari Rao, which was launched at the Gokhale Institute of Public Affairs, Bangalore, by Justice MN Venkatachalaiah, Rtd Chief Justice of India. While, In the Country of Longing, authored by Riyas Babu, accredited journalist from Norway, was launched at BTH Kochi by Anita Nair. The first copy was handed over to noted director Per Christian Magnus. Another interesting book launched was Skill Sutras (authored by Dr Jayashree Mohanraj) by Prof Sunaina Singh, vice chancellor, EFLU, where eminent personalities like Dr CV Narasimha Reddy, advisor (Public Relations), Dr BR Ambedkar University and Dr K Lakshminarayana, IAS, director, AP State Skill Development Corporation were present.
