All geared up for 22nd Delhi Book Fair

India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) in collaboration with The Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) is organising Delhi Book Fair 2016 from August 27–September 04 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Union Minister for Science & Technology and Minister of Science Dr Harsh Vardhan will inaugurate the fair, which will also host two concurrent shows—18th edition of Stationery and 2nd Office Automation & Corporate Gift Fair. It has been estimated that more than 250 participants will take part in the three expos.

The fair aims to highlight some initiatives on higher education and computer literacy under the government’s flagship integrated programme ‘Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan’. Theme Pavilion at the expo will have Selfie Stations that focus on the Government of India’s national campaigns, such as Make in India, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Digital India, Skill India, Startup India, Smart Cities, Standup India and Umang (Unified Mobile App for New Age Governance). In addition to showcasing of books of varied genres, Delhi Book Fair 2016 will host Book Reading Sessions, Live Music Performances, Films, Storytelling Sessions, Quiz, Nukkad Natak and others, to make the fair more interactive with visitors. For the convenience of visitors, ITPO will introduce mobile applications. The fair will be opened from 10 am to 8 pm.
