IRRO elects new governing body

The Indian Reprographic Rights Organisation (IRRO) has recently elected its new Governing Body for the term 2025–2027 at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The newly elected Governing Body comprises distinguished leaders from the publishing and copyright fraternity: Dr. Ashok Gupta – Chairman, Dr. S.S. Awasthy – Vice Chairman, Pranav Gupta – Secretary General and Pushpita Ghosh – Treasurer. In addition, the Executive Members elected are:Naveen Gupta, Ramesh K. Mittal, Sahil Gupta, Sesh Seshadri, B.S. Bagla, Mukesh Kumar Aggarwal, Dr. Chetan K. Bachhotia, Dr. Sandeep Kumar Sharma and Neeraj Jain.

Speaking at the AGM, Chairman Dr. Ashok Gupta highlighted IRRO’s continued commitment to supporting rights holders and ensuring that their creative efforts are valued and protected. Vice Chairman Dr. S.S. Awasthy emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships within the ecosystem to foster growth and innovation. Pranav Gupta, taking charge as Secretary General, assured members of IRRO’s proactive approach in addressing the evolving challenges in copyright and licensing, while Pushpita Ghosh, as Treasurer, underlined the organisation’s focus on transparency and accountability.
