St Andrew’s Book Festival returns to London

Following the success of last year’s inaugural festival, St Andrew’s Book Festival returns to London from November 27–30,2025 with an expanded programme featuring the best of Scottish literature and culture, created by Scots in London and in association with The Scotsman. The festival coincides with St Andrew’s Day and aims to celebrate Scottish culture and heritage in central London, the city with the third highest population of Scottish people in the UK after Edinburgh and Glasgow. Among the highlights, crime writing star Val McDermid will discuss Silent Bones, the latest nail-biting thriller in her beloved Karen Pirie series which was dramatised for ITV, with Nicola Sturgeon. Scottish national treasure, broadcaster and author Sally Magnusson will host a special literary lunch to celebrate her new novel, The Shapeshifter’s Daughter, interviewed by Hugh Pym.
