Indian book printing segment is now growing up as final destination for international reach. The reason is both its affordability and quality standards. Recently, a 12-member Indonesian delegation including five MPs visited International Print-o-Pac Limited (IPP) based at Noida in NCR to appraise themselves regarding the educational book printing projects which they would like to consider while drafting the final bill. Among the visiting delegates included Son Kuswadi, Dir Eng, education attaché, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, New Delhi and

H Irsal Yunus, SE, MM, MPR/DPR, Jakarta. Amila Singhvi, managing director, IPP formally welcomed the delegates and a short video about their facility was presented.

Stressing on the competitions faced in book printing around the international markets, the visiting Indonesian delegates tried to understand the secrets of the Indian book printing organisations as to how they are able to manage that. Answering the same query, Amila Singhvi elaborated the features like affordability and maintaining quality. She said, “Compared to the overseas markets, volumes of productions are large enough in India which brings cost of printing per copy quite low. Consumables like paper, etc are available at reasonable costs.” She further mentioned that there is no shortage of raw materials/consumables in the market and lower labour charge always being one of the major advantages in India.

SK Khurana, editor, All About Book Publishing, who was also present at the occasion, mentioned about the reasonable profit margins which the book printers generally keep and make it further attractive. Yogesh Kharbanda, director – sales and marketing, GRAFimpex (Gurgaon), who organised this visit to IPP, informed that availability of web offset presses manufactured in India itself is quite efficient in producing books.

IPP is considered to be a centre of excellence that offers versatile solutions for printing and packaging. Founded as a repro house in 1982, this printing house has emerged as a partner of choice for its valued customers, catering printed

end-products to the most discerning of international buyers. IPP’s hallmark of print quality originates with its extensive facilities and staff members of qualified print process technologists.
