An advertising campaign (to promote Penguin’s Audio Books) for Penguin India done by McCann Erickson has been awarded at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2013. The Cannes Lions are arguably the biggest and most sought after awards for creative communication and more than 34,000 entries are showcased and judged from around the world.

The agency was awarded two Gold Lions in the press category and 2 Bronze Lions in design category. In all, the work earned 19 shortlists across Press, Design and Outdoor categories at Cannes. Penguin Books is the only publishing brand from India whose work were featured and awarded at the festival.

Prasoon Joshi, executive chairman and CEO, McCann Worldgroup India and creative director on the campaign said, “In a cluttered media space it is the simplicity of the idea that stands out. Great craft that’s beautifully executed and completely in-sync with the essence of brand Penguin. I am truly happy that this beautiful piece of work done by Talha Nazim, Rohit Devgun and the McCann team has brought the client and the agency proud at such a prestigious stage.”
