Eminent novelist Philip Roth passes away

Philip Roth, known for his playful, elegant and often outrageous novels about Jewish life and sex and death and betrayal, dies at the age of 85. He was one of the greatest novelists. His first published book, Goodbye, Columbus, won the National Book Award for fiction.

He has written more than 30 books, including The Human Stain, The Plot Against America, and American Pastoral (winner of Pulitzer Prize for fiction), to name a few.
