The Kangra Valley Train by Premola Ghose, with photographs by Ram Rahman, takes the reader on a breathtaking journey through historic Kangra which was nominated for UNESCO World Heritage Site. Published by Niyogi Books, the book was launched in New Delhi in the august presence Sir Mark Tully, VN Mathur (Retd Member Traffic-Indian Railways) and other distinguished personalities. Mark Tully, remarked, “It is a beautiful book about a beautiful railway about a beautiful part of India; the book is a work of art. My message for people is to use the railways and care about it.”
Cambridge University Press recently organised a discussion session on the book -Democratic Dynasties: State, Party & Family in Contemporary Indian Politics by Kanchan Chandra in New Delhi.The discussion threw fresh insights into how dynasties shape contemporary Indian politics by bringing together original data and acute analysis. The book is a collection of essays on dynastic politics, and introduces a new theoretical perspective on dynasticism in democracies, using original data on twenty-first-century Indian parliaments. The panel discussion was moderated by Patrick French, historian and biographer, author of India: A Portrait.

The chief guest to the occasion was Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy.

This book is published in Hindi & English dialect by Prabhat Prakashan and Penguin books respectively.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Madhukar Bhagawat released book named Compassion in the 4 Dharmic Traditions, authored by Prof Ved P. Nanda, Professor of John Evans University, founder of the International Legal Studies Program. This book talks about “The Dharma Traditions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism in light of their Universal Common Ground” and is published by Prabhat Prakashan.
