The 53rd New Delhi World Book Fair 2026 will be held from January 10-18, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, bringing together publishers, authors, readers, and cultural voices from India and across the world for nine days of books, dialogue, and cultural exchange.

Organised by the National Book Trust, India, under the Ministry of Education, the New Delhi World Book Fair, spread over 40,000 square metres, features 1,000 speakers in 600+ events and attracts participation from over 1,000 publishers representing more than 35 countries, recording a footfall of over 2 million visitors.
This year, the book fair pays tribute to the Indian Armed Forces and their contribution to the nation since Independence through the Theme “Indian Military History: Valour and Wisdom @ 75.” The Theme will be presented through a specially curated Theme Pavilion spread across 1,000 square metres, designed to combine books, exhibitions, visual installations and live programmes. It will highlight the Army, Navy and Air Force as not only defenders of India’s borders but also as pillars of national unity through an exhibition of over 500 books on Indian military history, defence and strategy, including works authored by serving and retired Army personnel.

The Theme Pavilion will also host over 100 events including panel discussions, book launches and talks by renowned authors, defence experts and war veterans including sessions on iconic Indian military leaders, defining military moments like the 1971 Indo-Pak war and the Kargil conflict, ancient Indian military strategies and the success of Operation Sindoor.

The Fair will also spotlight global literary exchange with State of Qatar as the Guest of Honour Country and Spain as the Focus Country, showcasing their literature, authors and cultural traditions. Other major highlights include dedicated B2B platforms such as the Authors’ Corners, CEOSpeak and the New Delhi Rights Table, which facilitate exchange among publishers, authors, rights agents and industry leaders, alongside the Children’s Pavilion and daily cultural events.
