Parragon Publishing and Routes2Roots celebrate cultural and literary heritage
Parragon Publishing has joined hands with Routes2Roots, a Delhi-based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting art, culture, and heritage, to unveil a three-book series titled Rhythms & Ragas. The books, which provide an in-depth exploration of Kathak, Hindustani Classical Vocal and Bharatanatyam, aim to educate and inspire readers about the rich traditions of Indian art forms.
The event, organized as a collaborative effort between Parragon Publishing and Routes2Roots, aims to bring together literary enthusiasts, educators, and young readers to explore the power of storytelling, history, and education through beautifully crafted books and cultural experiences. Parragon Publishing, known for its commitment to curating engaging and insightful content, has long been at the forefront of bringing knowledge to life through its diverse range of books spanning history, culture, mythology, and children’s literature. Routes2Roots has been the pioneer in promoting art and culture in the sub-continent and across the world through concerts, art exhibitions, Theatre and Film Festivals, Student Exchange Programs, and Cultural Education. The production of these books is an extension of the cultural education program.
The launch event was graced by Amitabh Kant, Former CEO of NITI Aayog; Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Culture; Ajay Bhatt, Member of Parliament and Former State Minister for Defence and Tourism; and Arun Singh, Member of Parliament and National General Secretary of BJP. Also present were the founders of Routes2Roots, Rakesh Gupta and Tina Vachani. Representing Parragon Publishing, Vineet Sharma, Publisher and Director, Ganesh Singh K.G., Executive Director and COO, and Anusha Sundaram, Publishing and Marketing Head, highlighted the importance of collaboration in bringing this masterpiece to life. The event was further enriched by the presence of distinguished artists, cultural enthusiasts, and key figures from both Routes2Roots and Parragon Publishing, reflecting the collective commitment to celebrating and preserving India’s rich artistic heritage.
The event comprised a spirited panel discussion on Indian classical art forms and their integration in education and the development of youth. The panel comprised Odissi danseuse Padmashri Kiran Segal, Grammy Award Winner & flautist Rakesh Chaurasia as well as the three authors of the books.
