2025 BolognaRagazzi Awards open for submission!

The BolognaRagazzi Award – BRAW – is BCBF’s prize for the most outstanding and innovative picture books on an international level.There are five main award categories: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Opera Prima (a Debut Work by an unpublished author or illustrator), Toddlers and Comics (comic books and graphic novels). The juries may also award the New Horizons special prize to a particularly innovative work.

In line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals Book Club, BCBF is dedicating the 2025 special category to Sustainability. Now in its fifth year, the BRAW CrossMedia Award recognises outstanding projects that successfully transfer original content from page to screen – or vice versa, from screen to print – and those that excel in creating excellent digital platforms and products for an unparalleled online reading experience. An international jury will select the winner in these two categories – Crossmedia Projects and the Digital Reading Experience. It may also award Special Mentions.The submission deadline is January 15, 2025.
