35th International Publishers Congress to be held in Malaysia

The 34th International Publishers Congress, held from the 3-5 December 2024 in Guadalajara Mexico closed with an official declaration of commitments and the announcement of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as the host of the 35th Congress in 2026.

The official closing declaration of the 34th International Publishers Congress captured the discussions from the different sessions and focused on the commitment of publishers to copyright, freedom to publish, the responsible use of technology, sustainability and cooperation.

Hugo Setzer, President of CANIEM, the Mexican Publishers Association said, “It has been wonderful to bring this Congress back to Mexico after 40 years. Our discussions have been so rich and demonstrate the value of such events to focus our collective minds on the issues that will affect publishing for future generations.”
