New team for FIP
The Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) successfully conducted its 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) recently. The event was honoured by the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr K. Sreenivasarao, Secretary of the Sahitya Akademi, a distinguished figure in the Indian literary landscape known for his significant contributions to the publishing industry.
Following the election process, a new executive team was unanimously elected for the 2024-2025 term, reflecting the confidence and support of the Federation’s members. The newly appointed officials are: Naveen Gupta, President; Ramesh K. Mittal, Vice-President (North); Himanshu Gupta, Vice-President (East); G. Olivannan, Vice-President (South); Monica Malhotra Kandhari, Vice-President (West); Pranav Gupta, Honorary General Secretary; Pushpita Ghosh, Honorary Joint Secretary and Dr. Ashok Gupta, Honorary Treasurer.
The newly constituted FIP Executive Committee consists of the following members: Anil Gala, Avinash Agarwal, Praveen Kumar Gupta, Neeraj Govil, Sahil Gupta, Vikrant Mathur, Naresh Jain, Prashant Jain, Santosh Choubey, Nikhil Jain and Trisha De Niyogi.
The AGM provided a comprehensive platform for discussing the myriad opportunities and challenges currently facing the publishing sector. Key members and senior office bearers of the Federation engaged in fruitful discussions, generating valuable insights and solutions to fortify the industry. The consensus emerged that the FIP would persist in representing the interests of publishers at the state level to ensure a cohesive approach to industry challenges.
