Sukrita Paul Kumar Wins Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize

Poet and critic Sukrita Paul Kumar has been awarded the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize for her collection “Salt & Pepper: Selected Poems.” Sukrita, aged 74, received USD 5,000, a Tagore statue, and a certificate at the ceremony.

Established in 2018 by US-based publisher Peter Bundalo, the prize recognizes contributions to human rights, literature, art, education, and world peace. Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee also received the prize for social achievement. The awards underscore a commitment to honouring impactful literary and social contributions.
