Gandhi Peace Prize goes to Gita Press


The Union Ministry of Culture has awarded the Gandhi Peace Prize 2021 to Gita Press, which is the world’s largest publisher of Hindu religious texts. This award comes ‘in recognition of its outstanding contribution towards social, economic and political transformation through non-violent and other Gandhian methods,’ said the government in a statement. Gita Press has completed 100 years of its operations.
