NBT-India’s three-day translation workshop in Alwar

The three-day translation workshop being organized by National Book Trust, India was held in Alwar, Rajasthan from September 15-17, 2022 to translate select NBT-India children’s titles from Hindi to Rajasthani language. The workshop was inaugurated by Chief Guest Madhu Acharya ‘Ashawadi’, eminent Rajasthani litterateur and Guest of Honour Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, District Collector, Alwar, in the presence of Yuvraj Malik, Director, NBT-India. Madhu Acharya ‘Ashawadi’ appreciated the steps taken by NBT-India towards promoting Indian languages through organizing such translation workshops. While, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni said that through this translation workshop, National Book Trust, India has done a commendable job of gathering eminent litterateurs from different districts of Rajasthan in the beautiful city of Alwar.
Yuvraj Malik, Director, NBT-India in his address said that language and culture are two sides of the same coin and can connect with the core values of life only through mother tongue. He added that many such literary programs and activities will also be organized by NBT-India in different districts of Rajasthan. Prominent Rajasthani writers Dr. Rajendra Singh Barath and Dr. Jeevan Singh also shared their views on the importance of regional language and literature. Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni also inaugurated NBT-India’s Mobile Exhibition Van which were on a tour of various schools of Alwar during the three-day workshop.
