-Malavika’s book presents a collection of offbeat musings

Prof Rudrangshu Mukerjee, renowned historian, author and journalist released Malavika Karlekar’s book Memories of Belongings: Images from the colony and beyond at New Delhi. The launch was followed by a lively presentation by the author highlighting the salient points of the publication. Khalid Tyabji and Tarini Pal did the book reading. The book has been published by Niyogi Books.

Memories of Belonging: Images from the colony and beyond can be read as a collection of slightly offbeat musings on certain aspects of over a century and a half of India’s history. Whether the photograph, lithograph, painting or cartoon is the focus or illustrates a point or an argument, the visual is integral to each piece.
