As per Balani, “I have been in book business since 1974 and in the year 2000 got into distribution of e-journals and e-books and last year initiated Book Care and Repair company keeping in mind the need to protect and repair rare and damaged books that we have in our libraries across India. I have visited many libraries in India and abroad and find that most of the librarians have little knowledge of how to conserve books, etc that they have in their libraries and also the knowledge of materials to be used. The reason for starting Book Care and Repair was to help in this direction.”

While, Ken Chan, international sales director of Neschen, a company in Germany who produce book care and repair materials, gave useful insights into their products and its usage.
