Parragon strengthens its presence in MENA region
Post-pandemic, the publishing industry is hoping for a quick recovery. Confident in its future, Parragon India is set to launch exciting new IP across all categories of books and has ambitious plans to reach more markets in the Indian subcontinent and in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
For more than 16 years, Parragon has been a one-stop shop for book buyers and consumers. Its extensive publishing portfolio contains books and products for readers of all ages. Its commitment to producing quality books for children and adults has ensured it remains a trusted brand.
Building on its success in the MENA region, Parragon has published a range of titles in Arabic, collaborating with local publishers to reach a wider audience and to celebrate multilingualism. With a plan to continue to expand its presence in the MENA region, Parragon’s International Sales Director Michele Khoury said, “I am so excited to oversee sales in the MENA region, especially now the markets are opening up as restrictions ease worldwide. We are looking forward to offering new exciting content that will delight our readers.”
Parragon’s collaboration with Mattel, leading toy company and creator of bestselling brands Barbie and Thomas & Friends, continues to be a success in the region. Parragon’s Mattel publishing programme features storybooks, board, novelty, colour, sticker and activity books. Nathalie Debs, the head buyer at CIEL said, “Parragon is a truly unique publisher to work with. Their friendly-staff ensures timely and professional help, and their extensive collection of titles is always sure to satisfy all tastes.”
This year, Parragon will launch a range of new products across its Mattel portfolio, including a delightful collection of Barbie storybooks, dynamic Thomas & Friends booksplus product, and STEM board books in its Fisher-Price range. “Collaboration with Mattel has always been a joyous ride,” said Ganesh Singh, Director and Head-Business Development. “As the markets are slowly opening up we are aiming to provide rich, quality content to our customers in the MENA region, with an objective to reach out to the audience in a diverse manner, and offer them their all- time favourite books.” Singh and his team are determined to leverage the growing market demand in the MENA region to expand Parragon’s customer base, offering even more title choice, and showcasing the best of Mattel content.
