Founder’s Day celebrations!

MBD Group recently celebrated Founder’s Day to mark the 69th birth anniversary of Ashok Kumar Malhotra, founder of the MBD Group. A special cover (envelope) of Ashok Kumar Malhotra, was also released by the General Post Office, Jalandhar. The special cover will be available across all the post offices in India. A stamp of Ashok Kumar Malhotra was also printed on this occasion. This stamp will be used in all the postal communication of the MBD Group.

Speaking on this occasion, Satish Bala Malhotra, chairperson, MBD Group said, “Mr Malhotra was very closely connected to his roots and always keen on working for the benefit of the people. He was a tireless entrepreneur who believed in building legacies and giving back to society. The special cover and the stamp immortalises Mr Malhotra not just as a businessman but as a great philanthropist.”

A gala cultural event was put up by the staff of MBD group on the Founder’s Day. Ashok Kumar Malhotra scholarships for academic excellence were also given to the most deserving children of the employees. Staff members from across the business verticals of the group and also from across the country participated with full enthusiasm. Dignitaries from Delhi, Punjab as well as Noida were also present at this grand event. The day also marked the felicitations of some of MBD’s oldest employees, some of whom who have been part of the Group’s journey since its inception.

Monica and Sonica Malhotra, directors, MBD Group shared the group’s vision, saying, “Our father started the MBD Group from a small bookshop in Punjab and built it into a business conglomerate. His courage, conviction and determination will always motivate us to achieve new milestones. He was a people oriented person, and his dedication to his team was legendary. The Founder’s Day is not only a celebration of his values but also a celebration of the fondness he had for his own people.”

Today the MBD Group has 37 branch offices across India along with overseas presence. The group has also made successful strides in real estate, hospitality, elearning, and paper manufacturing, and stationery.
