New title on India in the Contemporary World

Routledge India Originals, an imprint of Taylor & Francis India and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi collaborated to launch India in the Contemporary World: Polity, Economy and International Relations edited by Jakub Zajaczkowski, Jivanta Schottli, Manish Thapa at New Delhi. H E Piotr Klodkowski, Ambassador to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi and Nitasha Devasar, managing director, Taylor & Francis India released the book followed by a panel discussion. The panel included eminent personalities from the field and media.

The book release is one of the key cultural events commemorating the 60th anniversary of establishing of diplomatic relations between India and Poland, which falls in 2014. India and Poland established diplomatic relations in 1954 and the Indian Embassy in Warsaw was opened in 1957. The two countries shared common ideological perceptions, based on their opposition to colonialism, imperialism and racism.
