Gone too soon!

Beloved children’s writer and 2015 winner of the Sahitya Akademi’s Bal Sahitya Puraskar, Subhadra Sen Gupta left for her heavenly abode recently. Sen Gupta was the author of 60-plus books—fiction, non-fiction, ghost stories, adventures, mysteries picture books—for young readers, including bestsellers like A Bagful of History.

Another big loss for the litterateurs is the death of writer, painter and journalist Prabhu Joshi.

Shekhar Malhotra of Hind Pocket Books and Full Circle Bookstore also passed away recently.
