Colombo International Book Fair ’14

The Annual Colombo International Book Fair is scheduled for September 13-21, 2014. This event is being organized by Sri Lanka Book Publishers’ Association, regularly for the last 15 years. Speaking to Lalana Yapa, president of the Publishers Association, it was heartening to know that this event shall be inaugurated by the president of Sri Lanka. This nine days event attracted 450 exhibitors and 15 lakh visitors last year.

Childrens come in large number to the fair and buy books from the money they saved over the year in piggy banks. Lalana Yapa, who was present at NDWBF ’14 invited participants from India to be part of the fair in September, 2014.
