Customer satisfaction is of prime importance for any production/service company, the same goes for book fairs. In order to understand the exhibitors’ viewpoint, NBT organized a Publishers Meet, wherein 50 exhibitors from NDWBF were invited to express their views about the fair and get suggestions for further improvements.

Present on the occasion were A Sethumadhavan, chairman, NBT, India; GR Raghavendra, director, book production and copyrights at the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India; RK Singh, GM, ITPO and MA Sikandar, director, NBT, India. To begin with, the NBT officials thanked the co-operation of Sahitya Akademi.

Sudhir Malhotra, president, FIP congratulated the NBT team for organising an impressive fair with equally good footfalls. His views were echoed by large number of participants. While, S C Sethi, past president, DSBPA, suggested that the event directories should be distributed well in advance, prior to the commencement of the show.

One important suggestion was to allot stalls on first come, first serve basis rather than by draw of lots, so that exhibitors can choose the place of their choice. Other suggestions were related to better promotion of the fair in overseas countries including major book fairs, ample parking space, better maps of halls, touchscreen kiosks, etc.
