‘Beyond The Himalayas: Journeying Through The Silk Route’, now a film-book, a unique wonder, traces the enthralling beauty of the Himalayas via the Silk Route that author Goutam Ghose and film producer Michael Haggiag had experienced during an expedition in 1994 and which the author, an acclaimed photographer, had captured in his documentary in 1996 titled Beyond the Himalayas. Published by Niyogi Books, the book was launched at Oxford Bookstore, Kolkata, in the esteemed presence of Author & Academic Kunal Basu; Actress, Filmmaker & Editor Aparna Sen; Former CEO, Prasar Bharati Jawahar Sircar & Film Personality Jagannath Guha, who were in conversation with author Goutam Ghose. The session was chaired by Indian Art, Theatre and Film critic Samik Bandyopadhyay.
