DBS Imprints impresses overseas buyers

New Delhi-based Delhi Book Store’s publishing wing DBS Imprints received overwhelming response at the recently concluded Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany.
Afirst-time exhibitor at the recently held Frankfurt Book Fair, Germany, Delhi Book Store (DBS) has many happy experiences to share. With a premium stand at the India pavilion by CAPEXIL, they attracted a large number of quality visitors to their stand.

As Vijay Ahuja, managing director, DBS puts it, “We exhibited 85 titles from our new publishing entity – DBS Imprints. Visitors were glad to see well-produced books with equally good content from a country like India. Thus, the response for our books was beyond our expectations.”

With its focus on authenticity, content relevance as well as best-in-class production, they are dedicated to publishing cutting-edge, informative books written and edited by renowned experts in their field. “We have roped in the best of the Indian authors and the best of the senior editors for editing. Since the result is world-class titles, we do not wish to confine this knowledge to India. We want the world to utilise this rich content. Hence, we participated in the Frankfurt Book Fair and got very good response from countries like USA, Europe, Africa, Australia, Japan, etc,” adds Prateek Ahuja, CEO, DBS.

“We got very encouraging inquiries for rights for republishing, translation and co-publishing,” shares Vijay. Founded in 2012, just a year back, DBS Imprints has boldly stepped into the publishing industry. All the books under DBS Imprints are indepth study on the subject and runs through 600-800 pages each. There are 40-50 titles in the Handbook series, which attracted a lot of queries. There are books on non-medical and higher education, covering topics like hotel management, journalism, global warming, ecology, climate change, agriculture, chemistry, information technology, etc.

Their bookstore at Darya Ganj in New Delhi houses even the rare books from all over the world, besides the huge range of regular books.
