68th AGM of DSBPA

Delhi State Booksellers’ & Publishers’ Association (DBPA) recently organised the 68th Annual General Meeting in New Delhi. The chief guest of the occasion was Prof Shabahat Husain, President, Indian Library Association while Guest of honour was Dr. Pardeep Rai, General Secretary, Indian Library Association.

Parmil Mittal, President, DSBPA, gave the welcome speech. He said, “DSBPA has 490 members dedicated to the cause of book publishing, distribution and book selling, thereby promoting literacy, reading and educating the masses.” Talking about threat from online book selling, he said, “We believe that both online sellers and retail stores can co-exist if a healthy environment for a cap on discounts is created.” Kartik Raj Kushvah, Secretary, DSBPA was also present at the occasion.
