Sahitya Akademi celebrates ‘Poets and their Poetry’

It was a great pleasure to experience some good poetry recitation at Sahitya Akademi. Recently they organised a poetry reading programme of young Maithili poets, which included Avinash, Raman Kumar Singh and Arunabh Saurabh. Besides poetry they also hummed some regional songs as well, which were loved by audience present.

Later, an evening of poetry recitation by A J Thomas, noted English and Malayalam poet was also held. Both events were held at Sahitya Akademi Conference Hall and well attended.
