What’s in a name?

411

William Shakespeare once said, “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” But, a name can change the fate of a book! A detective novel, secretly written by JK Rowling (of harry potter fame) instantly became a bestseller, when the author revealed her identity.

It so happened that Rowling had written ‘The Cuckoo’s Calling’ under a pseudo name Robert Galbraith, whom she posed as a retired military policeman. The book was published in April and had sold just 1500 copies till the time the truth was revealed.

What’s more? This manuscript was rejected by a few publishers as well…anyways, one person’s loss is another person’s gain!
