Manaku of Guler: The Life and Work of Another Great Indian Painter from a Small Hill State, authored by Dr BN Goswamy and published by Niyogi Books was unveiled recently. This work centers around Manaku of Guler – older brother of the greatly celebrated Nainsukh- reconstructing whatever little is known of his life, but following closely his artistic journey.

Delhi based young artist Soumen Dutta’s first book The Ananta was recently released by noted art connoisseurs Shirin Paul – chairperson, Emeritus, Apeejay Surendra Group and veteran art enthusiast Sunita Kohli – president, K2India Archictict and Designers. The Ananta is searching the one of the greatest tradition of Bengal the Durga Puja through the camera lenses, the brushes, pencil sketches and of course some descriptive texts by Soumen Dutta.

Wolters Kluwer, a global leader in information services and solutions, organized a conference “Tax Reforms: Driving Transparency and Uniformity” in New Delhi. It was focused on the recent tax reforms in India and their impact on the Indian economy. The conference’s Guest of Honor, Justice AK Sikri – judge, Supreme Court of India, and chief guest, Arun Jaitley, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Defence and Corporate Affairs, launched a book titled Concise Commentary on Income Tax authored by Dr. Girish Ahuja and Dr. Ravi Gupta, amidst several leading professionals from tax and accounting industry.
