My Red Butterfly rekindles love tenderness

Niyogi Books, in cooperation with Matrix Duo, released My Red Butterfly, the debut book of Avinash Pushkarna, the additional commissioner of customs, Central Excise and Service Tax. Dignitaries present at the launch included Delhi’s former chief minister Sheila Dikshit, Antara Dev Sen (daughter of Nobel Prize winner Amartya Sen) and Bikash D Niyogi of Niyogi Books.

In the book which he has completed in seven years, he has tried to take readers in the love saga of 80’s and 90’s, a time when letters were being used as a sole messenger by the lovers as well as Bollywood songs were used to film in a peculiar suaveness. The whole story swirls around the protagonist Rohit who started loving a girl at a tender age of 16 while aspiring to be a doctor. A very heart-warming touching story, My Red Butterfly is just like an old red wine served fresh.
