Comic book artist Darwyn Cooke leaves for his heavenly abode

Canadian comic book artist and writer Darwyn Cooke (age: 53 years) recently died from cancer. He has worked as a storyboard artist for Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: The Animated Series for Warner Bros. He also created the main title design for Batman Beyond in 1999, before becoming a director for Sony Animation’s Men in Black: The Series.

He also worked for DC Comics, and was instrumental in revamping the Catwoman character. He is also known for writing and drawing DC: The New Frontier and Solo, an anthology project, for which he bagged Eisner Award for “Best Single Issue” for his Solo #5. His writing works include The Spirit series, Superman Confidential, Parker: The Hunger, The Outfit, The Score, and Slayground. More
