New portal for books database

New Delhi-based Spring Time Software has launched a web portal indianbooksinfo.com, which would contain bibliographic database of all the books published in India.

This would contain information of English, Hindi and all other regional language books. Their vision is – if any book is published in India – its information must exist in indiabooksinfo.com. The key benefits would be that publishers would be able to expand their horizons and explore the possibilities of selling rights by promoting their books.

All the publishers registered with them will have a unique advantage of exposing their books and their publishing house to foreign publishers/distributors/retailers who are interested in Indian books related to a specific subject/language. On the other hand, customers would be able to search for books related to subjects/keywords and find out the nearest distributor/retailer.

Besides, the retailers/distributors/librarians would be able to access the up-to-date title master information related to all Indian Titles all at one place based on ISBN/Publisher. The retailer/ distributor would be able to update their data with latest price information while translators/authors would be able to find publishers.

Spring Time Software is a software company and their product PUB+ is being used by more than 600 publishers/distributors in eight countries.
