Sketcher of Archie, the popular freckledface and red-haired comic character popular among the youth across the globe, recently died in his home at Texas. Tom Moore started drawing Archie Andrew since 1953 until his retirement from the job in the late 1980s. Tracing back to the history, Archie was created by Bob Montana in 1941 and Tom took over it in the year 1953. When he died recently at the age of 86, Victor Gorelick, editor-in-chief of Archie Comics, lamented for the departed soul calling him ‘a cartoonist’s cartoonist’.
