Baldeo Bhai Sharma is new chairman at NBT, India

Senior media personality and thinker, Baldeo Bhai Sharma took over as the chairman of National Book Trust, India, an autonomous organisation under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Baldev Bhai Sharma has served as an editor of prestigious dailies such as Dainik Swadesh, Dainik Bhaskar, Amar Ujala, etc. He was appointed an editor of the national weekly Panchjanya in 2008 and served there till 2013. Thereafter, as an editor of the daily National Duniya, he took it to new heights.

He has contributed numerous articles on issues of national and social importance to major magazines and newspapers. A noted figure on various Hindi news channels for his participation in socio-political discourse, Sharma has also been associated with Akashwani through its numerous programmes for a long time. He is also associated with various social institutions.
